Membership Report
Membership Drive Underway – A big thanks to the 61 active and 17 associate members who have renewed their memberships so far, and the 9 new active and 2 new associate members who have joined for 2010. If you haven’t joined NSRW for 2010, don’t forget to fill in your membership application and send it in, with your check, or bring them to the December 2 meeting. Applications have been in the Beacon the last two months, and will be available at the meeting. Dues are $30 for active members, $20 for associates (increase from 2009), and $10 for young affiliates. Even though you filled out an application last year, we need your information again for 2010, so be sure to include the form with your check.
Name the Elephant – The
winner of the Name the Elephant contest was Neddie Nokes, who offered
the name “Petunia Pachyderm”. So, welcome Petunia to NSRW.
The voting was extremely close, with “Liberty Lee” by Sandy
Irwin only one vote behind, and “Freedom” by Jackie Clausing
only three votes behind.
