Message From Our President

 

Dear NSRW Members and Friends,

The Thanksgiving and Christmas Seasons are upon us. I believe we all need a respite for the doings in D.C. for the time being. However, we must pay attention and hope that both Senator John Cornyn and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison will protect our interests in the trying days ahead of them. I am very concerned about the propensity of our Congressmen and women who are spending money that the nation does not have. Let's pray they come to their senses - and soon.

In the interim, our December meeting on the 2nd will see the installation of our new NSRW officers for 2010-2011. Justice Steve McKeithen will do the honors. The Chord Busters will perform for us, and we have lots of fun things going on during the meeting. Surprises galore!

This is my last meeting as your President and I am a bit sad and a bit glad. You have been a wonderful group to work with and my term has been a wonderful experience for me. I want to you to know that the members of the Board have been excellent support, and the reason that NSRW qualified and won the Diamond Award from NFRW and the John Tower Award from TFRW was because of the achievements of our club, led by the Board. They are to be applauded; their work made our club look good!
