North Shore Republican Women (NSRW) Scholarship Application Requirements for Montgomery High School & Willis High School Class of 2024.
Applicants MUST meet ALL requirements:
1. Applicants must attend Montgomery High School, Willis High School, or an alternative schooling high school as identified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)** as a senior with their school of record designating a 2024 graduation.
2. Applicants must be accepted to attend college in the Fall of 2024 and must be scheduled to attend college full-time. Student must provide a copy of the official letter of acceptance and enrollment from the college.
3. The applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from a school administrator, a Republican elected official, or a high school social studies faculty member attesting to the student’s interest in the political future of Montgomery County.
4. The applicant must possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grade scale. Students enrolled in dual credit courses or advanced placement courses will receive additional consideration.
6. The applicant must submit a copy of the student’s official high school transcript from the 2024 Spring semester.
7. The applicant must provide a photocopy of the student’s official SAT or ACT scores, or other accepted assessments approved for placement. If the student was exempted from the SAT, a photocopy of the student’s official TSI/TSIA2 scores should be submitted.
8. A brief personal interview with the NSRW Scholarship Committee must be held with applicants who are under consideration before the finalist(s) is selected. Interviews may be held virtually or in person.
9. The applicant must submit a second letter of recommendation from an adult (not a relative) who can attest to or verify the applicant’s academic and extra-curricular achievements including GPA. Please do not include “To Whom It May Concern” form letters.
10. Applicant must provide a letter (200 – 250 words typed and double spaced) stating why the Northshore Republican Women’s Scholarship should be awarded to the applicant.
11. Applicants selected as possible recipients must be willing to participate in a brief personal interview with the NSRW Scholarship Committee which may be held virtually or in person before final selections are made.
